以稜角朝上安放，這顆瑤崗仙立方體把顏色戴成了一圈畫框——深紫色的色帶集中在每一道稜邊上，往中央逐漸稀薄，成為帶煙感、近乎清透的核心。生長階以平行的階梯橫過正面，晶體後方一團白色雲母質母岩把紫色往前推。右上方停著一顆黃銅色的金屬晶體，不比一粒米大。
這種顏色集中在稜邊的現象在螢石中很常見：晶體是一層一層向外生長的，而色心最豐富的那幾層如今正描出立方體的輪廓。螢石莫氏硬度 4，具完全的八面體解理——這也是為什麼那麼多立方體最後都帶著細小的斜切邊角——所以請把它放在稜邊碰不到東西的地方。
