A cluster of slender quartz prisms with orange-red hematite skins rising from a base of black specular hematite, the tallest points at the centre. The red coating is on the surface rather than inside the crystals.
Jinlong, Guangdong, red-skin quartz with specularite at 31 g; the black base makes the red prisms glow.
At 31 g (1.1 oz) it is a miniature specimen that fits a miniature cabinet or a desk display. What you see in the photos is the piece you receive; any known repair, mount or treatment is disclosed above.
