一顆粗壯的石英單晶，兩端皆有完整的晶尖，安坐在一個淺淺的奶油色晶簇狀母岩凹窩中。晶尖清澈如水；內部一層柔和的白紗接住光線，把晶體變成一盞小燈籠。前方晶面上，生長階梯淡淡地起伏，下方的母岩碎屑則因細小的石英晶尖而閃爍。
四川西部的稻城，出產的石英正是這種短壯的雙尖晶習——這也是商家順手借用「赫基默式」這個簡稱的原因。唯有當晶體懸浮在開放或充填黏土的晶洞中、而非扎根於洞壁時，兩端才能同時長出完整的晶尖，因此這個形態本身就是那個空腔的紀錄。石英（SiO2）莫氏硬度 7，無須嬌養；脆弱的是那塊母岩碎屑。
整體 3.8 × 3.3 × 3.0 cm，重 31 g，安放在影像中的透明壓克力方座上。那些影像拍的就是這顆晶體，別無其他。
