關於此標本
冰藍色的立方體加冕在這件瑤崗仙標本的左上方，自一道淡到幾乎無色的稜邊起，以淺淺的梯階向下遞降。它們的下方與後方，螢石轉為柔和的薰衣草紫並保持半透明，內部透出一抹煙紫。一顆清澈如水的石英晶體自後方斜伸而出，褐色的雲母玫瑰花結則像小小的乾燥花攀附在右肩。
一顆晶體上有兩種顏色，而兩者之間的界線分明：螢石的藍色帶與紫色帶源於不同的晶格缺陷，同時具備兩者的標本，記錄的是生長中途流體的一次真實變化。位於湖南的瑤崗仙主要開採鎢礦，其螢石也經常與透明石英及淺色雲母一同產出。莫氏硬度 4，因此立方體的角是最脆弱的部位。
