A single large magnetite crystal with bright, mirror-like faces crazed by natural etching, sitting on a base of khaki garnet and green epidote with a tiny clear quartz at the corner. The etched pattern looks like cracked glaze.
Inner Mongolia magnetite with dissolution-etched faces, an unusual surface for the species; magnetic and thumbnail size.
