A rounded mass of botryoidal limonite whose surface shows an iridescent play of purple, green, gold and bronze across the bubbles, with a brown matrix base. The colour comes from a thin natural oxide film.
Guizhou rainbow limonite at 215 g; a small cabinet piece that reads as metallic colour rather than earthy brown.
