關於此標本
分界線乾淨地橫過整件標本。上方是一頂白色的刃狀方解石晶冠，晶體以平展的玫瑰花結與張開的束狀放射排列，質感如撕開的紙張。下方則是厚實的半透明螢石塊體，由煙灰色轉為灰紫色，局部乳濁，解理階梯以寬闊的平面閃光。右上角螢石最厚之處，顏色轉深為橄欖棕綠。
一件標本上有兩種軟礦物，拿取就得格外小心：方解石為莫氏硬度 3，沿三個方向輕易裂開；螢石為莫氏硬度 4，具四個解理方向；而晶冠上的刃狀晶體薄到用指甲就能折斷。方解石只能乾刷，到此為止。螢石的顏色隨塊體厚度加深而非呈帶狀分布，最寬處看來近乎黑色，到邊緣則轉淡為煙色。
尺寸為 7.6 × 3.3 × 2.5 cm，重 108 g。每一張照片都拍攝自這一件標本，以手持方式讓方解石晶冠與螢石本體同框；不含底座。
