عن هذه العينة
Yunnan quartz with prehnite at 10.3 cm and 142 g; a cabinet plate. A plate of clear quartz points over grey-green prehnite, the two minerals the supplier lists, with crystals on both faces as the supplier notes.
Rock crystal is judged on termination quality, clarity and how the crystals sit together, and the Chinese localities have raised the bar on all three.
Prehnite forms botryoidal and fan-shaped aggregates of pale green crystals with a waxy lustre; Sichuan produces some of the best.
Yunnan is China's most mineralogically diverse province, source of the pyromorphite, azurite and blue aragonite that have become collector favourites.
The piece is cabinet in size, 5.2 × 2.5 × 10.3 cm (2.05 × 0.98 × 4.06 in) and 142 g (5.0 oz). The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.
Each specimen is individually photographed and catalogued before it is listed.
