Sichuan aquamarine at 10 cm and 910 g; a cabinet single crystal from the Xuebaoding district per the supplier.
Aquamarine is the blue-green variety of beryl, forming hexagonal prisms with flat terminations; the Chinese material from Xuebaoding and Yunnan pairs it with muscovite and cassiterite.
Sichuan's alpine-type veins and skarns yield aquamarine, prehnite, epidote and scheelite of international quality.
The piece is cabinet in size, 10 × 5.6 × 9 cm (3.94 × 2.20 × 3.54 in) and 910 g (32.1 oz). The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.
