Über diese Stufe
Tiefes Königsblau: Azurit zieht in zuckerfeinen Krusten über diese Stufe, wirft aus jedem Winkel Glanzlichter zurück und dunkelt in den beschatteten Falten fast bis ins Schwarze ab. Grüne faserige Büschel – Malachit, möglicherweise Chrysokoll – wachsen entlang der Grate und in einer offenen Tasche auf der rechten Seite, wo eine ockerbraune Eisenoxid-Ader das Blau durchschneidet.
Azurit und Malachit sind beide basische Kupfercarbonate, und das Grün ist häufig der Nachfolger des Blaus: Azurit nimmt über geologische Zeiträume Wasser auf und wandelt sich in Malachit um, sodass ein Stück wie dieses die Reaktion auf halbem Weg festhält. Beide sind weich, Mohshärte 3,5–4, und Azurit steht am liebsten außerhalb längerer direkter Sonne. Der Fundort ist nicht bestätigt und die grüne Art nicht geprüft, daher führen wir beides als offene Frage, statt zu raten.
