Über diese Stufe
Jiangxi golden baryte with fluorite at 12.3 cm; a large cabinet piece with dense blade coverage.
Baryte's tabular blades are its typical habit, and its weight in the hand is the easiest field test.
Fluorite is the classic collector's halide: calcium fluoride that grows as cubes, octahedra and stepped combinations, often with colour zoning that shows best in daylight.
Jiangxi's tungsten mines, Xihuashan and Piaotang among them, are the classic source of wolframite, scheelite, baryte, fluorite and calcite specimens.
Dimensions place it in the large cabinet range, 12.3 × 7.9 × 4.6 cm (4.84 × 3.11 × 1.81 in) and 616 g (21.7 oz). Condition is otherwise as photographed.
Every specimen here is photographed and catalogued individually before listing.
