Über diese Stufe
Yunnan platy veszelyite at 5.2 cm and 42 g; a small cabinet piece of a rare copper phosphate.
Veszelyite crystals show a saturated greenish-blue that few copper minerals match, and good Chinese specimens have made the species collectable worldwide.
Yunnan is China's most mineralogically diverse province, source of the pyromorphite, azurite and blue aragonite that have become collector favourites.
The piece is small cabinet in size, 5.2 × 3.7 × 2.7 cm (2.05 × 1.46 × 1.06 in) and 42 g (1.5 oz). Otherwise the piece is sold exactly as photographed.
Copper mineral: avoid dust, wash hands after handling.
Specimens are photographed and catalogued one at a time before they reach this page.
