Über diese Stufe
Himalayan quartz at 8 cm and 122 g; a cabinet piece. A stout Himalayan quartz crystal with a rusty orange coating over a clear body and a complete tip, from Pakistan per the supplier's text, in the Tibetan style the supplier remarks on.
Good quartz is about hexagonal prisms with clean terminations and the glassy lustre that lets a cluster catch light from every angle.
Pakistan's Gilgit-Baltistan pegmatites produce aquamarine, topaz, fluorite, quartz and garnet of international quality.
By size it is cabinet, 3.4 × 3.1 × 8 cm (1.34 × 1.22 × 3.15 in) and 122 g (4.3 oz). Otherwise the piece is sold exactly as photographed.
Specimens are photographed and catalogued one at a time before they reach this page.
