Über diese Stufe
Sehen Sie an der Oberfläche vorbei, und der Kristall öffnet sich. Außen ist diese Gruppe aus Yaogangxian mattiert und olivgrün bestäubt, ein feiner glimmeriger Belag haftet an den Würfelflächen; darunter hängen tiefviolette Kerne in nahezu farblosem Fluorit, ihre quadratischen Umrisse parallel zu den Außenkanten – Phantome, die Gestalt also, die der Kristall früher in seinem Leben hatte. Über den größten Würfel ziehen gestufte Wachstumsterrassen, und eine Nische unten links birgt cremeweiße Leisten und einige schlanke Nadeln.
Phantome entstehen, wenn das Wachstum lange genug aussetzt, dass ein Film eines anderen Minerals oder ein Wechsel in der Spurenchemie eingeschlossen und anschließend von späterem Fluorit überbaut wird. Nichts daran ist nachträglich hinzugefügt; sie sind das Protokoll einer Unterbrechung. Fluorit hat Mohs 4 und vollkommene oktaedrische Spaltbarkeit, dies ist also ein Vitrinenstück und kein Handstück – stützen Sie es von unten.
