Cristales de pirita dorada se agrupan en la parte delantera de la calcita blanca. Las caras más grandes de bloques se proyectan cerca del centro, con muchos detalles metálicos más pequeños extendiéndose hacia afuera sobre la superficie pálida. Una fotografía ultravioleta suministrada muestra la calcita bajo una fuerte apariencia naranja-roja mientras la pirita permanece oscura. La vista de luz ordinaria revela finas estrías a través de las caras doradas más amplias y la desigual disposición de los cristales más pequeños alrededor de sus bases.
