Sobre este espécimen

Xianghualing fluorite with pyrite at 195 g; a small cabinet piece with a subtle sparkle. A rounded mass of grey-green fluorite with a fine crystallised surface, sprinkled with tiny brassy pyrite grains that give it a golden sheen.

Chinese fluorite has become a staple of modern collections for its sharp crystal faces, strong colour and a lustre that reads well from across the room.

Iron sulfide with a brass-gold colour, pyrite is heavy, bright and geometrically satisfying, with striated faces on the best crystals.

Xianghualing in Linwu County, Hunan, is a tin-fluorite skarn famous for sharp fluorite, cassiterite and the blue and green fluorite on quartz seen here.

The piece is small cabinet in size, 7.9 × 5.2 × 4.2 cm (3.11 × 2.05 × 1.65 in) and 195 g (6.9 oz). The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.

Specimens are photographed and catalogued one at a time before they reach this page.
