La calcopirita dorada cubre gran parte de un espécimen irregular bajo, con áreas más oscuras de esfalerita visibles entre las superficies reflectantes. Varios parches muestran tonos metálicos azules y rojizos mudos junto a las zonas de oro amarillo más brillantes. La fotografía cercana revela crestas desiguales y huecos poco profundos en el frente. Una vista en ángulo muestra la base oscura más gruesa debajo de la superficie superior metálica, dando a la pieza un contorno amplio y compacto con reflejos cambiantes distribuidos en su cara mineral ricamente texturizada.
