Dozens of small, sharp fluorite octahedra in rich grape purple sit across a plate of white quartz, with a darker purple cluster at the centre and lighter, more translucent ones toward the edges. The contrast between the purple crystals and the bright white matrix is crisp.
Pink-to-purple octahedral fluorite on quartz from Zhejiang is a less common Chinese fluorite type than the Fujian cubes; this is a cabinet-size plate with crystals intact across the face.
It measures 9.1 × 6.8 × 4 cm (3.58 × 2.68 × 1.57 in) and weighs 234 g (8.2 oz), a cabinet-sized piece that makes a strong centrepiece on a shelf or in a display case. What you see in the photos is the piece you receive; any known repair, mount or treatment is disclosed above.
