Grandes caras de calcita pálido forman una estrecha torre vertical sobre una base mineral de textura más fina. Los cristales de color crema angular se superponen a través de la mitad superior, con puntos más pequeños agrupados alrededor de sus bordes. Los piritas y el cuarzo se registran en la asociación de apoyo. Desde el segundo ángulo, la torre aparece más profunda y varias caras anchas proyectan hacia adelante desde su centro. La calcita superior más brillante contrasta con el material gris moteado y metálico de aspecto inferior, dando a esta pieza Shangbao un claro énfasis vertical.
