Este espécimen de cuarzo en bruto procedente de Turquía presenta abundantes inclusiones de clorita de un verde vibrante, que crean hermosos crecimientos «fantasma» dentro de los cristales de cuarzo transparentes. Sobre este espécimen
La clorita verde oliva ha tomado este grupo de cuarzo turco como el liquen toma un muro: una fina costra granular que envuelve cada prisma, se acumula espesa en las grietas y se adelgaza allí donde las terminaciones asoman limpias. Mire dentro de los cristales mayores y el verde continúa en el interior como un suave fantasma difuminado: clorita que seguía creciendo mientras el cuarzo se cerraba sobre ella.
Ese doble papel —recubrir por fuera, quedar como fantasma por dentro— es lo que convierte al cuarzo con clorita en una pieza de estudio y no en una simple roca verde. Cada cristal conserva el orden de los acontecimientos, y una pequeña luz sostenida detrás del grupo hace aflorar los fantasmas interiores.
Sus medidas son 7,9 × 5,8 × 4,8 cm y su peso, 280 g. Natural y sin tratar; las fotografías corresponden a este mismo ejemplar.
