Sobre este espécimen
Yunnan acicular blue aragonite at 180 g; a small cabinet piece in a single calm colour.
Aragonite grows as radiating or stacked crystals, a habit that gives the species its sculptural, coral-like look.
Yunnan is China's most mineralogically diverse province, source of the pyromorphite, azurite and blue aragonite that have become collector favourites.
Dimensions place it in the small cabinet range, 7.3 × 6.5 × 4.5 cm (2.87 × 2.56 × 1.77 in) and 180 g (6.3 oz). The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.
Carbonate: never clean with acid or vinegar.
Specimens are photographed and catalogued one at a time before they reach this page.
