Questo pezzo è stibina da parte a parte: nessuna matrice degna di nota, solo centinaia di lame lucenti come cromo intrecciate in una montagna di metallo compatta e scintillante. Cristalli larghi e striati si accavallano su altri sottili come aghi, e ogni superficie rimanda luce; in mano si legge come una scultura saldata in acciaio a specchio.
Dal distretto antimonifero di Lengshuijiang, nell’Hunan, il riferimento mondiale per la specie. Le sacche più ricche della miniera davano proprio masse interamente cristallizzate come questa, che portano con sé una presenza che i pezzi su matrice di pari dimensioni non riescono a eguagliare: 621 g di minerale puro cristallizzato.
Misura 16 × 10,9 × 6,1 cm. La stibina è tenera: la maneggi il meno possibile e sempre dalla base. Ogni immagine è stata realizzata su questa singola formazione.
