この標本について
Yunnan double-terminated quartz at 3.8 cm and 8 g; a miniature. A grey double-terminated quartz with fine sketch-like lines inside and a small sceptre cap, the sketch-pattern Shanling quartz the supplier names, both tips complete as the supplier notes.
Double-terminated quartz grew free of the wall, so both ends carry natural terminations.
Yunnan is China's most mineralogically diverse province, source of the pyromorphite, azurite and blue aragonite that have become collector favourites.
Dimensions place it in the miniature range, 1.3 × 1.2 × 3.8 cm (0.51 × 0.47 × 1.50 in) and 8 g (0.3 oz). Condition is otherwise as photographed.
