Een elektrisch blauw van een diepte die alleen azuriet bereikt: twee lemmetvormige kristallen domineren deze Marokkaanse miniatuur, en hun glasheldere vlakken flitsen saffier en ultramarijn wanneer u het stuk draait. Langs hun flank loopt een band zijdeachtige, vezelige malachiet, het groene alter ego van azuriet, precies gegroeid waar de chemie het voorschrijft, op een ondergrond van chocoladebruine gossanmatrix.
Het blauwgroene duo is de handtekening van de kopermineralogie, en Marokkaanse holtes leveren het met een kristalkwaliteit die zich meet met de klassieke vindplaatsen. Op dit stuk houdt de azuriet scherpe ribben en hoge glans, terwijl de malachiet een textuur toevoegt die het oog als fluweel leest.
Met zijn compacte 4,9 × 3,1 × 3,8 cm en 100 g verdient het een plek op de eerste rij in elke miniatuurvitrine. Natuurlijk en onbehandeld; afgebeeld is het exemplaar dat u geleverd krijgt.
