Over dit exemplaar
Moroccan baryte with vanadinite at 102 g; a small cabinet piece with a vertical form. Lead vanadate present: wash hands after handling.
Baryte's tabular blades are its typical habit, and its weight in the hand is the easiest field test.
Flat hexagonal crystals and a rich red-brown colour are what Morocco is famous for in vanadinite; wash hands after handling.
Morocco's Mibladen and Touissit districts are the classic source of vanadinite, cerussite and baryte, mined from lead deposits in the High Atlas.
The piece is small cabinet in size, 4.2 × 6.3 × 2.8 cm (1.65 × 2.48 × 1.10 in) and 102 g (3.6 oz). Otherwise the piece is sold exactly as photographed.
Contains lead-bearing minerals: wash hands after handling and keep away from children and pets.
Specimens are photographed and catalogued one at a time before they reach this page.
