Over dit exemplaar
Sichuan quartz-epidote at 116 g; a cabinet piece with the two species in balance.
Good quartz is about hexagonal prisms with clean terminations and the glassy lustre that lets a cluster catch light from every angle.
Epidote forms pistachio-green prismatic crystals, often striated, and is a classic companion of quartz and feldspar in Chinese skarn deposits.
Sichuan hosts Xuebaoding, Jinkouhe and Leshan, sources of aquamarine, scheelite, prehnite, gypsum and the epidote-quartz skarn specimens seen here.
The piece is cabinet in size, 9.4 × 6.3 × 2.7 cm (3.70 × 2.48 × 1.06 in) and 116 g (4.1 oz). Otherwise the piece is sold exactly as photographed.
Every specimen here is photographed and catalogued individually before listing.
