Over dit exemplaar
Yunnan firework calcite at 128 g; a small cabinet piece with a minimalist, striking layout.
Calcite is the most shape-shifting of common minerals: over 800 crystal forms have been described, and Chinese localities produce many of the best.
Yunnan's copper and lead-zinc districts produce the azurite, malachite, pyromorphite, hemimorphite and blue aragonite that define Chinese secondary minerals.
Dimensions place it in the small cabinet range, 6.8 × 5.3 × 4 cm (2.68 × 2.09 × 1.57 in) and 128 g (4.5 oz). The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.
Carbonate: never clean with acid or vinegar.
Every specimen here is photographed and catalogued individually before listing.
