De groene gebieden hebben onregelmatige hoekige contouren, in tegenstelling tot het doorschijnende roze-grijs calciet. Een beter zicht onthult clusters van kleinere groene projecties tussen de grotere bleke messen. Malachiet en bornite worden geregistreerd met het calciet; de zichtbare kleuren en groeilijnen geven het specimen interesse zonder te vertrouwen op een vervangende-historische interpretatie.
