Over dit exemplaar
Fujian stepped green fluorite with quartz at 26.5 × 20 × 7 cm and 2586 g; a large cabinet display plate.
Chinese fluorite has become a staple of modern collections for its sharp crystal faces, strong colour and a lustre that reads well from across the room.
Quartz is the most collected mineral on earth for good reason: sharp hexagonal prisms, bright terminations and endless variation between localities.
Fujian is China's most productive fluorite province, and its granite-hosted veins also yield the garnet, quartz and calcite that fill modern collections.
The piece is large cabinet in size, 26.5 × 20 × 7 cm (10.43 × 7.87 × 2.76 in) and 2586 g (91.2 oz). Condition is otherwise as photographed.
Specimens are photographed and catalogued one at a time before they reach this page.
