捲曲的羊角自這件瑪瑙頭骨的太陽穴向後掃出，每一支角上都刻著一列平行稜脈，並在耳部上方旋成扁平的角座。石材在顱骨處呈乳白色，至顴骨與下顎轉為淡奶油糖色，拋光面下散布著針點般的金色細斑，另有一道柔和的灰色帶橫過顱頂。
玉髓很能承受這類工序。由於它是微觀石英纖維氈結而成的緻密集合體，而非單一晶體，瑪瑙沒有任何解理方向可供刀具走脫，因此雕刻師能留下相距不足一毫米的角稜，而不會讓兩者之間崩失稜邊。莫氏硬度 7，拋光面只需乾布擦拭即可常保明亮。
雕件尺寸 6.6 × 6.1 × 6.4 cm，重 255 g——單手可握的分量，照片中以手持方式呈現比例，而非置於底座。這些照片中的頭骨，就是出貨的頭骨。
