兩尾神仙魚一前一後，自同一塊拉長石中游出，魚身以交疊的塊面切削而成，魚鰭刻著細密的平行溝紋。將雕件轉向光源，一大片電光藍便漫過最前方的魚身，下方另有一枚孔雀眼般的暈斑；其餘部分則呈煙燻橄欖灰，間雜著黑色。雕者刻意保留外緣的粗糙原皮，使拋光的魚彷彿正破石而出。
那抹藍並非顏料。拉長石屬斜長石族，其內部在冷卻過程中分離成極薄的交替片層；光線進入石中，自這些層面反射並自相干涉，拋回一條狹窄的色帶，隨著移動而變幻、消失。莫氏硬度 6 至 6.5，可拋出明亮光澤，但沿解理方向忌碰撞。
雕件尺寸 10.2 × 8.9 × 3.0 cm，重 350 g，底部平切，可自行站立。這些照片拍攝的是這一件作品——暈彩的分布為它獨有。
