關於此標本
這裡的主晶是一顆寬闊的冰藍色螢石，每一個晶面都以平坦的梯階生長，一階疊著一階，整個表面讀來像一張立體的等高線圖。顏色在上緣聚成薰衣草紫，到中段卻淡得幾乎像水，底部沿線有一圈低矮的奶白色晶簇，上頭棲著另外兩顆小小的藍色立方體。
這類階梯狀晶面形成於生長速度超過鈣與氟供給的時候：每一層新生長都停在下一層之前，原本應是平整的晶面因而留下平台。瑤崗仙出產不少藍色與薰衣草紫色的螢石，而這一件的階梯格外俐落。莫氏硬度 4，收在抽屜裡時請與更硬的標本分開。
