酸萊姆綠，而且閃閃發亮。這件磷氯鉛礦是一叢短胖的六方桶狀晶體，每一個晶面都被生長於其上的第二世代較小晶體弄粗，這正是把光線打散成如此眾多細小亮點的原因。顏色是春天新葉那種銳利的黃綠，在桶與桶之間的凹處轉深，沿著右側邊緣則褪向薄荷色。
磷氯鉛礦是一種氯磷酸鉛，Pb5(PO4)3Cl，屬於次生礦物：它生長在鉛礦床的氧化上部帶，來自方鉛礦的化學廢墟之中。廣西是產出這種鮮綠色材料的經典產地之一。此礦種偏軟，莫氏硬度 3.5 至 4，晶體尖端易脆，因此請托著母岩拿取，並讓手指遠離晶體叢。
