兩顆黑電氣石晶體主宰著這塊淺色石英岩塊：後方是一根粗壯的直立柱晶，晶面刻著細密的縱向條紋，頂端以寬闊的階梯狀端面收尾；右側另一顆斜臥的晶體，平坦的端面像濕板岩一樣把光反射回來。兩者之間的母岩是粗粒半透明石英，新鮮斷口處呈玻璃光，其餘部分則帶砂糖般的質感。
那些縱向條紋正是電氣石族的標誌——這種硼矽酸鹽在生長時，會沿著長軸疊出一道道窄窄的柱面。莫氏硬度 7 至 7.5，這些晶體比多數礦種更禁得起把玩，不過端面仍值得小心。兩顆晶體都是嵌入石英之中而非棲於其上，黑色晶體與白色寄主之間的接觸關係讀來乾淨俐落。
尺寸 15.5 × 10.4 × 9.7 cm，重 1160 g，單手掂來紮實，是陳列架上的擺件而非櫃內的小品；不附底座。手持鬆放拍攝，畫面中所見即為出貨之物。
