淡紫色螢石立方體在這件瑤崗仙小標本上以錯位階梯向上攀升，上緣稜線通透如玻璃，晶壁增厚處紫色轉深。中段橫臥一層粗糙的橄欖綠綠簾石結殼；結殼之下，螢石在接近岩石處轉為煙灰而近乎不透明。
綠簾石覆於螢石晶體之上與晶體之間，是附著其表的包覆層，而非被困在晶體內部的包裹體——它是表面的過客，不是同行者。瑤崗仙是湖南南部的一座鎢礦，藏家買標本時會直接認這個產地名，而正是這種淡紫色調的螢石，是原因之一。螢石成分為 CaF2，摩氏硬度 4，具完全的八面體解理：請與更硬的標本分開存放，並遠離超聲波清洗機。
