關於此標本
整塊標本都包著開心果綠的白雲石，那是一層爆米花般質感的粒狀外殼，鑽進每一處凹陷，而有兩樣東西自其間頂出：清水般透明的石英晶尖，以及玻璃光澤、色如淡丁香煙紫的螢石立方體。最大的一枚立方體位於中央偏右下方，以層層內縮的淺方階生長，自成一座小基座，高出綠殼之上。
瑤崗仙是湖南南部的一座鎢礦，其晶洞產出的多數標本都依循這樣的順序：先是螢石與石英，接著是一波晚期的碳酸鹽洗禮，把一切都覆上白雲石粉衣。此處的碳酸鹽以收藏者稱為開心果綠的黃綠色調現身，恰好停在埋沒螢石之前。螢石為 CaF2，莫氏硬度 4，八面體解理完全；白雲石外殼又更軟，硬毛刷會把它整層刷掉，因此清潔時請不要動用比空氣更強的手段。
