Über diese Stufe
Guangdong white quartz with white fluorite at 57 g; a small cabinet piece in an all-white palette.
Rock crystal is judged on termination quality, clarity and how the crystals sit together, and the Chinese localities have raised the bar on all three.
Fluorite crystallises in the cubic system and is prized for its saturated colour, glassy lustre and the way zoned phantoms appear when the crystals are back-lit.
Guangdong's Jinlong district is known for hematoid and chlorite-phantom quartz with specular hematite, alongside fluorite and calcite.
The piece is small cabinet in size, 6.1 × 4 × 3 cm (2.40 × 1.57 × 1.18 in) and 57 g (2.0 oz). Otherwise the piece is sold exactly as photographed.
Each specimen is individually photographed and catalogued before it is listed.
