This is a museum-grade azurite specimen with natural malachite association, weighing 7.6 oz and measuring 1.7 × 1.6 × 2.7 inches. The specimen features a unique gourd-like formation—a naturally occurring double-sphere growth—symbolizing prosperity and good fortune in Chinese culture.
The front side of the specimen displays densely packed, razor-sharp azurite crystals with an intense, velvety royal blue luster. Under light, the crystal faces exhibit brilliant reflections, adding a striking visual impact. On the reverse side, concentric growth patterns and fibrous malachite veins accentuate the natural beauty and texture of this rare formation.

Nature grew this one in the shape of a gourd: two rounded lobes completely surfaced in velvet-blue azurite druse, so fine-grained it drinks the light, with sprays of silky green malachite breaking through like moss on a blue boulder. No tool touched it — the form, the texture and the two-tone color are entirely natural chemistry, copper carbonates crystallizing exactly as found.
Azurite this uniformly velvety is fragile and easily bruised, which is why intact nodules of this size are far scarcer than broken fragments. The malachite patches mark where azurite is slowly transforming into its green successor — blue giving way to green over geological time, a conversion caught mid-act.
It measures 6.9 × 4.3 × 4.1 cm and weighs 200 g. Handle it by the base and display it under a warm lamp for maximum depth. The photographs show the exact specimen.
