La plombogummita gris-azul forma una corteza botrioidal densa a través de una matriz de Guangxi poco profunda. Los hemisferios redondeados se fusionan entre sí, creando una superficie parecida a la uva con reflejos más brillantes dispersos en las cúpulas más altas. La segunda vista muestra cambios de color sutiles de azul pizarra a gris ahumado y revela el recubrimiento que continúa cerca de los bordes del espécimen.
