About this specimen

Guangxi matcha-green pyromorphite at 5.2 cm and 39 g; a small cabinet piece. Contains lead: wash hands after handling. A wedge of dark brown limonite with a bright band of matcha-green pyromorphite in fine prisms running across its top.

Pyromorphite is lead chlorophosphate, forming barrel-shaped hexagonal prisms in green to yellow-green; the Guangxi and Yunnan material is world class.

Guangxi's Daoping and Yangshuo districts produce the green pyromorphite, plumbogummite and calcite that made the province famous among collectors.

The piece is small cabinet in size, 5.2 × 3.5 × 2 cm (2.05 × 1.38 × 0.79 in) and 39 g (1.4 oz). The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.

Contains lead-bearing minerals: wash hands after handling and keep away from children and pets.

Every specimen here is photographed and catalogued individually before listing.
