Los cristales oscuros de cinabrio se elevan junto a la dolomita crema pálida en la parte superior de una matriz cubierta de cuarzo. Las caras de cinabar aparecen casi negras en las fotografías, con un borde de color vino débil visible contra el crecimiento vecino más ligero. Los cristales de cuarzo fino cubren la parte inferior y se extienden en pequeños puntos detrás de los minerales superiores más grandes.
