Chongqing double-terminated quartz at 3.4 cm and 14 g; a miniature, priced with the tip disclosed. A stout double-terminated quartz with black inclusions scattered like ink through its body, the scattered-ink Shanling quartz the supplier names; the supplier notes a very slightly damaged tip.
Double-terminated quartz grew free of the wall, so both ends carry natural terminations.
Chongqing's carbonate districts produce calcite, fluorite and baryte from vein deposits.
By size it is miniature, 1.7 × 1.8 × 3.4 cm (0.67 × 0.71 × 1.34 in) and 14 g (0.5 oz). Disclosed condition: a very slightly damaged tip. The price reflects it and the photographs show the affected area. The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.
