Este ejemplar presenta cristales alargados, de color gris metálico a negro, que muestran el sistema cristalino trigonal típico de la Hematita (Fe₂O₃). Su superficie presenta un brillo metálico muy reflectante que realza su atractivo visual. Los cristales son opacos, con aristas nítidas y bien definidas y un acabado liso, casi especular, característico de las formaciones de Hematita de calidad procedentes de esta localidad.
