À propos de ce spécimen
Jinkouhe, Sichuan, quartz at 8.1 cm and 89 g; a cabinet piece. Two clear quartz crystals crossing at an angle, both tips complete as the supplier notes, with dark inclusions at the base.
Rock crystal is judged on termination quality, clarity and how the crystals sit together, and the Chinese localities have raised the bar on all three.
Jinkouhe in Leshan, Sichuan, is the source of prehnite, gypsum and epidote specimens from a road-cut skarn discovered in the 2010s.
Dimensions place it in the cabinet range, 4.8 × 2.7 × 8.1 cm (1.89 × 1.06 × 3.19 in) and 89 g (3.1 oz). The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.
Specimens are photographed and catalogued one at a time before they reach this page.
