A tiny floater of jet-black babingtonite crystals with bright metallic faces, a single small clear quartz point and a splash of lime-green epidote at the base. Complete all round.
Babingtonite from Sichuan is a rarity beside the famous Zhejiang material; at 7 g this is a micro-mount piece for the species collector.
At 2.3 × 2.3 × 1.9 cm (0.91 × 0.91 × 0.75 in) and 7 g (0.2 oz) it is a thumbnail specimen that sits comfortably in a thumbnail box or on a small stand.
