À propos de ce spécimen
Vitreux et d'un vert des plus pâles, le cube qui fait cette pièce a l'intérieur moussu de filaments de chlorite et s'ouvre en son cœur sur une unique fenêtre de fantôme sombre ; le long de l'arête supérieure, une crête de calcite lamellaire blanc neige vient le couronner. Association nette, sortie de la mine de Yaogangxian, Chenzhou, Hunan.
Le cube interne sombre retient l'œil : un stade de croissance antérieur figé au milieu du cristal, visible de part en part à travers la face naturelle, non polie. Une fluorite à « jardin » de chlorite comme celle-ci récompense l'examen rapproché bien plus qu'un matériau saturé ne le fera jamais.
La pièce mesure 4,8 × 2,9 × 5,2 cm et pèse 128 g, posée sur la base acrylique illustrée. Naturelle et non traitée ; les clichés correspondent au spécimen proposé.
