La plus grande rosette de lavande se lève à une extrémité, tandis que de plus petits amas pâles se propagent sur le côté inférieur et révèlent des centres bruns mutés à travers des lames transparentes. Les terminaisons pointues fines donnent à la surface une texture givrée. Deux vues montrent les différentes tailles de fleurs, la croissance radiale ouverte, et la couleur violette se poursuivant à travers la base naturellement irrégulière.
