À propos de ce spécimen
Hebei transparent green fluorite at 9.6 cm and 176 g; a cabinet plate with gem-clear cubes.
Fluorite crystallises in the cubic system and is prized for its saturated colour, glassy lustre and the way zoned phantoms appear when the crystals are back-lit.
Hebei's mountain districts produce calcite, quartz and skarn minerals from small mines north of Beijing.
Dimensions place it in the cabinet range, 9.6 × 6 × 2.6 cm (3.78 × 2.36 × 1.02 in) and 176 g (6.2 oz). Condition is otherwise as photographed.
