À propos de ce spécimen
Un cristal de quartz biterminé, chargé d'aiguilles de rutile doré, couronne cette plaque de matrice himalayenne : son intérieur est une tempête suspendue de fils métalliques, de nuages de chlorite et de plages teintées de fer. En dessous, des prismes plus petits — les uns d'une eau parfaite, les autres assombris par leurs inclusions — sortent de la matrice ocre-fauve selon des angles dispersés.
Le quartz à inclusions constitue un domaine d'étude à lui seul : chaque cristal est ici un terrarium scellé, qui renferme les fluides et les minéraux ayant accompagné sa croissance. Le cristal principal se laisse explorer à la loupe, son rutile courant en faisceaux dorés sur fond de chlorite verte.
De la région himalayenne (mine précise non confirmée — vendu tel que reçu). La plaque mesure 9,3 × 6,9 × 6,6 cm et pèse 220 g. Les photos montrent la pièce exacte.
