Tibet quartz at 7.9 cm and 180 g; a small cabinet piece. A cluster of milky Tibetan quartz points with imprint marks on the faces, the imprint quartz the supplier names, with orange staining.
Rock crystal is judged on termination quality, clarity and how the crystals sit together, and the Chinese localities have raised the bar on all three.
The high pegmatites and alpine clefts of Tibet produce clear and smoky quartz with the same character as the Himalayan finds across the border.
